WHAT IS ORGANIZATIONAL FRICTION?
According to Harvard Business Review, organizational friction (or organizational drag) costs the economy more than $3 trillion each year in lost output. Some examples of organizational friction include: CYA emails, excessive documentation, blame shifting, excuse making, hoarding of information, and hidden agendas. Most of the time, these are caused by interpersonal lack of trust, lack of clarity, or competing priorities handled in an unhealthy way.
